These Terms and Conditions govern all orders placed with Oplect. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About us

Oplect is a trading name of Horoz Trading Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14320568. Registered office: Unit 3, Old Brick Works Lane, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, S41 7JD. VAT number: GB472674955. Contact: hello@oplect.co.uk.

2. Consumers and business customers

These terms apply to both consumers and business customers. Some sections apply only to one or the other and are labelled accordingly. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

3. Products, descriptions and printer compatibility

We take reasonable care to describe our products accurately. Minor variations in pack appearance, batch or supporting imagery may occur. Where compatibility, printer settings or print quality are concerned, the customer is responsible for checking their printer's requirements and recommended settings before ordering, and for following the printer manufacturer's instructions.

4. Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. No additional VAT will be added at checkout. Business customers may request a VAT invoice after purchase.

5. Quantity discounts

Automatic quantity discounts apply to the Oplect thermal-label product as follows:

  • 1โ€“3 packs: no automatic discount
  • 4โ€“7 packs: 5% discount
  • 8โ€“15 packs: 10% discount
  • 16 or more packs: 15% discount

You can order any quantity online. For larger volumes or regular business supply, please request a custom quote. Bulk quotations are individually negotiated, valid for 30 days, and include VAT and standard UK delivery unless the quotation expressly states otherwise.

6. Obvious pricing or listing errors

If we identify an obvious pricing or listing error before accepting your order, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We will not increase the price of an accepted order without your agreement.

7. Contract formation

Placing an order on this website is an offer by you to purchase the goods. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order but does not mean the order has been accepted. The contract between you and Oplect is formed when we dispatch the goods. Payment may be authorised or taken before dispatch.

8. When we may cancel before dispatch

We may cancel and refund an order before dispatch if:

  • stock is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or listing error;
  • payment or fraud checks fail; or
  • the delivery address is outside our delivery area.

9. Delivery area, dispatch and risk

Free standard delivery is offered to eligible addresses in England, Wales and mainland Scotland. We currently do not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, or the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Orders are dispatched on the next working day (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays). We do not promise next-day delivery. Standard tracked delivery normally takes approximately 3โ€“5 working days after dispatch.

Where a delivery address you supply is incomplete or incorrect, you may be responsible for reasonable redelivery or return costs caused by that error.

Risk in the goods passes to consumer customers when the goods are physically delivered to you (or to a person identified by you to take possession). For business customers, risk passes on delivery to the carrier nominated by you, or on delivery to the address you supplied, whichever is earlier. Ownership in the goods passes once we have received payment in full.

10. Consumer cancellation rights

Consumers have a statutory right to cancel an eligible online order within 14 days of receiving the goods, as set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. A model cancellation form is provided at the foot of that policy.

11. Business-customer returns

Business customers do not have an automatic contractual right to return goods simply because they have changed their mind. This does not affect any rights or remedies relating to goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially misdescribed. Ordinary stock products and negotiated bulk orders of standard products are not "personalised" or "non-returnable" unless we have genuinely made the goods to the customer's specification.

12. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within seven days, if your order arrives damaged. This request does not affect your statutory rights. Detailed handling โ€” including what information to provide and the available remedies โ€” is set out in our Delivery & Returns and Cancellation & Refund policies.

13. Limitation of liability

We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any breach of obligations implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or Part 1 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015; or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for the goods to which the claim relates. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profit, business, contracts, opportunity or anticipated savings.

14. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to courier disruption, supplier failure, severe weather, fire, flood, civil unrest, industrial action, network outages, or government action. Where such an event affects your order, we will contact you to agree a revised timescale or cancel and refund.

15. Complaints

If something goes wrong, please email hello@oplect.co.uk with your order number and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and to resolve them as quickly as reasonably possible.

16. Intellectual property

All trademarks, product imagery, packaging design and website content are owned by Horoz Trading Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit any of this content without our prior written permission.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumer customers resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in their local courts.

18. Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
